How To Not Drive in Winter

...this winter season. Especially you Americans in the South - ice seems to confuse y'all greatly. Of course there's no accounting for the stupidity of other drivers, regardless of what season we're in.

LOOK AT THIS ONE - Why are these people driving that way in those conditions? Come on Michigan - you guys have no excuse for this.

yeah it doesn't make sense. i've been to northern illinois and wisconsin and people drive super fast in the snow. there was this one storm where thousands of cars were abandoned on the highways. that day it was snowing so bad, i decided to go back home after spending a minute on the highway. i think a lot of people just put too much priority on their transportation and less on safety.

I know look at the visibility here - how  could you drive like this in a semi with so little visible clearance.

Don't they get snow every winter in Michigan? It looks like all the truck drivers are clueless and they do this for a living.

I have seen some HORRIFIC accidents and all of them were in winter conditions. In the winter of '07, a family got crushed by a truck that I got out of the way of the instant before it hit them. I will never recover. Everyone ran to the car and what I saw I will never forget. The truck driver had a complete mental breakdown and I could understand. People are terrible drivers in winter conditions expecially at the beginning of the season and up here in upstate NY they are a nightmare.

Unfortunately it's at the same time as the Holidays and the highways are full of travellers. I'm going to stay off the roads during winter conditions unless it's a life or death situation. I have a lot of practice in bad conditions but elderly people, bad drivers, people who just got their license, etc will be who kills me.
