Nasa won't send humans to Mars, because there's NO real incentive to do so.
These squishy bags of 5% meat and 95% water are completely unadapted for ANY environnement, besides the Earth... Once introduced onto a mission, they cause a plethora of logistical problems and capability limitations, not to mention costs! Let alone "colonization"... which is basically a "never ending space survival mission".
Sending Humans to colonize Mars, makes as much sense as sending chickens to colonize Antartica.
