Serious question for you. The Nazi's were utterly destroyed and surrendered back on May 7, 1945. Do you think it makes any sense at all to continue a blanket ban on the public display of the NAZI symbol?

No, there shouldn't be a "ban". The way it works (worked?) in America makes the most sense: wave it if you want to but understand that it's extremely taboo. This is at its core an issue of globalization; if Germany wants to make it illegal to show a swastika then that is fully up to them. However, Youtube operates all across the world so they should be mindful of that. I don't personally agree with Germany "banning" the symbol of the swastika, but if they choose to pass such a law because that works for them then great.
It should also be pointed out that despite your declaration of the destruction of the Nazi party, the nazi swastika still holds a vast amount of power.
Edit: You can legally and fairly easily purchase a swastika flag in America.

Zero people have claimed that and yet here you are refuting this claim that zero people have proposed.

The ampersand symbol means "in addition to" or "and"...the swastika symbol has literally been used to represent the intention of bringing death to millions of people...would you really state that both of these symbols are equally powerful or equally powerless?
