Context & my 2c: Turkey's been heavily involved in the attempted overthrow of Assad & sponsors multiple terrorist groups in Syria even to this day. Russia, Syria & Iran all want to get rid of the last of the terries in & around Idlib but Turkey keeps blocking the push. They need the Turks on board to do it safely. Everyone's patience is running out as Erdogan tries to keep his Ottoman Empire pipedream alive.
