All I know is he liked the BAMN facebook page. Antifa are the militant wing of BAMN. I'll let you decide what that means. I'm no tin-foil hat guy and haven't really looked into the matter a lot but the basic facts are that the Mayor did not use the police to maintain order when Antifa went nuts over Milo earlier in the year and again in this event. California has anti-mask laws so if they wanted to the police could have arrested anyone with a mask and charged them all.
Personally I think it's ridiculous to allow citizens exercising their rights to have to deal with Antifa when it should be the roll of the police in riot gear to be the target. The police must be fucking pissed at the politicians who hate Trump so much that they let regular folks get beat up while they watch.

I beg to differ. Anarchists are people who take on the state. These people are directing their violence & anger at citizens. They mainly organise themselves to wage war on the Alt-right boogeyman using anti-hate or anti-fascism slogans.

I find their mix of ignorance and their choice of targets abhorent. They are actually doing a lot of harm IMO because these left-wing radicals are meant to be kicking up a fuss over economic problems like corporatising healthcare etc. They're delegitimizing the radical left which will allow the state to ready themselves for when these elements could actually become useful, eg. if more corporatising laws are passed.
