Agreed, when you go to a country like this you comply with the fucking rules. Only someone who is uninformed or has illusions of superiority does not.

Proof that you can finish second in your high school class and still be oblivious to the point of death. With that said did they actually present any evidence that he did try to steal that poster? That video isn't actually evidence.

Evidence at his trial, which lasted one hour, included his confession, CCTV footage, fingerprint evidence, and witness testimony
He confessed to being part of a secret society that took instructions to steal the poster from a secret church in North Korea. LOL he confessed to all kinds of crazy shit, so nothing there. CCTV footage - again nothing there. Fingerprint evidence - NK so nothing there. Witness testimony - this is the link to the footnote for that: https://www.mirror.co.uk/news/world-news/north-korea-releases-cctv-american-7581370 - nothing there: no witness saw him steal the poster.
I don't really care - I mean he must have done something - but I don't see any evidence that he did it presented in any of this. It looks like maybe he did it, and a bunch of evidence was clumsily manufactured to show that he did it. That I can believe.

It is rather naïve to expect hard evidence in a trial of such a regime.
